Grading Rubrics

These are the rubrics your professor will use to grade your assignments and assessments in this module. Please make sure you read through them before you start working on your assignments. They will help you budget your time and tell you exactly what elements of the assignments are most important and how they will be graded.

Group Project Rubric
  Exceeds Expectations Meets Expectations Needs Improvement Not Present
Preparation Excellent script with all elements very well executed, submitted on time. Complete script, with all required elements, submitted on time. Script submitted but missing elements or incomplete. Script submitted late. Skit script not submitted.  Group obviously unprepared.
Creativity Very creative. Great creative efforts obvious in project. Obvious attempts at creativity.  Some creativity present in project. Very little effort devoted to creativity. No attempt at creativity.
Written Analysis Very insightful, well written analysis, containing all required elements, submitted on time. Analysis contains all required elements, submitted on time. Incomplete written analysis submitted, or analysis submitted late. No evidence of collaborative conflict resolution technique in skit.
Technique Skit well-rehearsed with polished presentation. No mistakes that detracted from performance. Skit rehearsed and presented smoothly. Minor mistakes that did not detract from the performance. Skit obviously unrehearsed. Skit not performed.

Discussion Questions Rubric
  Exceeds Expectations Meets Expectations Needs Improvement Not Present
Clarity Very concise, clearly written, logically written response with few minor or no errors. Response clearly written, logically developed, and contains few errors that do not impact readers' understanding. Response cotains numerous errors that negatively impact the readers' understanding. Incomprehensible response, or no response
Insight Response shows great insight and thought, unusual perspective or point of view. Fully addresses all questions. Response shows evidence of insight and thought. Adequately addresses questions. Some thought evident in response, but mostly just restating question without answering it. No attempt to post thoughtful response
Reply to Classmates Reply thoroughly, thoughtfully, and concisely explains your thoughts on your classmate's response. Reply adequately explains your thoughts on your classmate's response. Minimal response beyond just "I agree." Some effort to explain why you agree or disagree. No response to classmates' posts, or "I agree."
